Im sure most of us wakeboarders have the same ideas I do when it comes to living the dream. I think it would go something like this.

Wake up to a beautiful glass lake 10 feet away from your bed room window, knowing your only minutes away from tearing it up. You get out of bed and eat a great breakfast with all your buddies and head to the water. You pull out of the dock on a new boat that starts right up and the ballast fills up quick. Next you get your board out of the rack with out hitting any one in the head or dinging the boat. Hop in the water for your first set and the water is the same temperature as the air and feels great. You get up and ride smooth and land tricks solid and into the flats. Over the course of the ride you land that new trick you have been eating it on for the past week and are you are way stoked. After your riding buddies take their sets and you have a couple more nice runs its time to start chillin and bring out the wakesurf board and crank up the music. You head in for lunch and catch your daily Fuel tv. Then you go to the rail park and have some fun sets on the rails and maybe press everything out a little more that usual.

Go to bed, Wake up and repeat.

I am not sure how I got to writing this article, I came to the computer just to check my e-mail and some how managed to day dream and then write my day dream for you all to read.

As some of you may know the title sponsor of the series “wake2wake”, no fear backed out of the series halfway through the season. It is definatly a bummer for people who have already bought to plane tickets to travel to the tournaments.

But,

Mike at KCW cable park stepped up and still got his event going. He got with Monster energy, scion, Anarchy eye wear, Pro Tec, and other sponsors to make the event bigger and better than ever. The event ended up with over fifty wakeboarders and wakeskaters. Every one was taking advantage of the free Monster energy and having a good time. The competition had a unique team format along with the individual tournament. The tournament was run great and every one had a great time. Great job Mike. check them out at kcwatersports.com

I have been asked why I am "addicted to wakeboarding". I am trying to find the answer, all…

I have been asked why I am "addicted to wakeboarding". I am trying to find the answer, all I know is that it is just what I do and I have fun doing it. It is fun to practice your but off just to show off in a 1 minute competition run. I know I want to never regret not doing something, if I see something that looks fun I do it. Everything is worth a try.

I help younger kids learn to wakeboard that live on the lake I do. I first ride with them in between my legs, that is cool because you can "feel their stoke" and you remember why you wakeboard. Then you are down in the water with them helping them get up and you see how happy they are just riding 5 ft. and catching a front edge, they are stoked to get up.

Maybe it is the girls. I don’t think I wakeboard for girls, but it is certainly a plus. I think I like to show off in front of girls because I mean come on, "if it wasn’t for the uncontrollable need to impress girls we would all be setting at home waiting to die".

I think the real answer is that we just love it. It might sound fruity but wakeboarding is in the heart, right? live to ride ride to live right?

Ya it is that I just love it.

These bindings are AMAZING, after you break them in. The Binding is certainly one of the best out right now in my opinion.

The closed toe is really cool, it helps you have a more controled edge. In open toe bindings I always get blisters from where the binding stops on my toe, with the close toe that doesn’t happen. Besides the fact that these bindings make you look like a straight up G, they have a ton of support. However they are not the most comfy boot i’ve ever riden either but i haven’t cooked them yet.

Me and my buddy were filming Nick Weinacker yesterday and we are about to leave to film some more. To make a good film you need to have all kinds of angles. Film editing is easier if you just play with it to see what fits right.

It is good to film early in the morning or late in the evening so the rider does not have a shadow. If you are filming at noon then the rider will just be a dark shadow and you won’t be able to get good footage of him or her.

You can get all kinds of crazy angles if you have a chase boat and a tube. The chase boat can get you a lot of angles, but the tube will get you one really cool one. If you have a jet ski the footage will not be as steady but you can get closer to the rider.

Im off to film.

Don’t you like to ride with people who just want to go out and have a good day on the water and leave all worries behind?

I know I do. It is fun to be with people who pump you up with their energy. It is awesome when people will do any thing for you just to let you ride.

I can’t drive yet so their are a ton of people who help me out, my Dad, Don Clark and Jon Dunn are just a few people that love to ride and spread the feeling. It is tight to be with people like this, not people that wine about the water is too cold or that it is to choppy. If you are gonna complain then stay home and watch re runs of CSI.

Sorry for this short blast of me talking. I just got inspired to write this, so I wrote it. Cool guys, and I don’t mean to offend anyone.

Lately I have been rockin the Fleetwood’s while waiting for my Relik’s. The Fleetwood’s are great bindings and…

Lately I have been rockin the Fleetwood’s while waiting for my Relik’s. The Fleetwood’s are great bindings and are sturdy, but they rub me in the wrong place. Don’t get me wrong, I am very happy with these bindings and like to ride in them. The upper front part that rubs your toes is in the wrong place for me, it rubs up and down my toe’s while I ride.

I happened to win these bindings in a Keith Lidberg give-away from O’neill. The bindings had been ridin by Keith so they had 1 string with out the clip, but oh well. It is super cool that company’s like this give-away free gear.

All in all I like these bindings, but they are not my favorite’s. They are very light weight because of their one piece desighn. If you are in the market for new bindings check these bad dog’s out.

Here is what Gator has to say about these bindings.

"Our universal level binding; designed for beginners all the way up to advanced pro riders. This binding introduces our new True One Piece Plate. No hardware anywhere means this is one of the lightest bindings on the market. It also means you might find yourself a bit higher in the air when you blast off the wake with these bindings. The Fleetwood also uses a one piece heel insert and overlay construction. The combination of these two pieces makes for a lighter more flexible binding. The half floating tongue also makes this binding more flexible on the inside for those tweaked out airs, but has more support on the outside where you need it most. So poke that grab just a little more and don’t worry, you will have plenty of support for big lofty landings! Thicker softer Boomerang shaped heel kidneys support your Achilles tendon and wrap around the round joint of your ankle keeping your heel down where it needs to be. The soft EVA foot bed, for bigger landings, and is cupped in design to be responsive. Committed to comfort the Fleetwood’s have the plush features you need in a strong stylish binding."

Right now in wakeboarding we have so many limbs of the sport to choose from it’s crazy. Only…

Right now in wakeboarding we have so many limbs of the sport to choose from it’s crazy. Only a few years ago we only had things like the boat to ride behind and lakes to ride on. Now we have many options, mabe too many.

Rail Jam’s are becoming a big part of our sport. I mean all you need to have a rail jam is some hay bales, a tarp and a slider right? wrong. I was part of a fairly large rail jam last year and it was a lot of work making it happen. Riding in it was super fun though. Have you wondered where you get the water for the pools from? We got ours from a large water truck. And of course something has to go wrong or you wouldn’t have a story right. The pool’s break easier than you think… oh well, I got a little off track their. any way rail jam’s can happen any where and every where.

Winching is a huge part of our sport as well. You need a old motor and some skills and you have a winch. Winching can happen any where, in puddles or rivers. People are starting to do tow ins with winches. riding the winch is right for any one, of course you have to have a buddy to run the winch.

Cable parks are another good place to ride, especially if all your buddy’s are not down to ride. the only person you need to ride cable is your self, maybe that is why cable’s are becoming popular. Of course I believe we have only 5 in the U.S. as in Germany they have 60. Cable=Good times

And of course old faithful, the good old fashion Boat. The boat is probably the best place overall to ride. You can hit the wake and even rails if you are on the right lake. The boat is the pioneer of wakeboarding, or I guess that Tony Finn guy could have had something to do with it, who know’s.

Any kind of wakeboarding is good wakeboarding.

If you haven’t been to the boarding school in Orlando, GO. Murray and Moye are great teachers and they treat you like friends. If you are looking to become a better rider and also have an experience of a lifetime start by going to theboardingschool.com

Murray rides doubles with you and teaches you good riding fundamentals in doing so. When I went for my set riding doubles with Shaun, he did a raley over me. Him over me was really cool, it shows you how high the pro’s get.

Travis Moye is a awesome boat driver, you wonder how their can be that big of a difference between a pro and amateur driver, there is a huge gap. Travis’s double ups are crazy huge.

The boarding school is a good place for you and your friends or family to go ride. It is a really awesome experience.
