Well we’re beginning the big search to pick our new wake boat.
Our 2007 Maxum 1800 SR3 (totally hooked up by the boys at DBG Concepts <www.dbgconcepts.com>)
has been a hell of a boat for the last year, and served to get us absolutely, completely, ridiculously, hooked on wakeboarding.
So, I’m gonna give you lucky readers the list of the boats we’re going to be checking out.
We’d like something brand new, with a big fuel injected v8, factory installed ballast system, no factory tower (we’ll be going with a DBG Concepts Billet Swoop XL, naturally), nice cd player head unit (amp, speakers, tower speakers will be set up by DBG of course), room for 8-10 people, and looks badass.
We’d like to stick to the ~$40k price range or under.
Due to our price constraints, that pretty much rules out the big three: Mastercraft, Malibu, Nautique, although we’ll still look around due to dealers wanting to dump boats right now with the insane gas prices.
But it looks like the more logical choices will be:
