HT Traction Podiums Results From the 2011 Wakesurf Worlds

Anaheim, Ca. – Hydro-Turf Traction is excited to announce its podium results at the 2011 Wakesurf Worlds in Parker, AZ

The HT Wakesurf team swept the Pro Men’s Division with Chase Hazen from Shred Stixx taking 1^st, James Walker from Flyboy Wakesurf taking 2^nd and Chris Kinsey from Shred Stixx rounding it up in 3^rd place respectively.

The Pro Women’s division also had a great showing for HT with Rebecca Ort from Airbaze taking 1^st place and Korina Smyrek from The Walker Project taking home the 3^rd spot.

The men’s amateur division was also dominated by Hydro-Turf Traction. Chris Banks riding for Liquid Force took 1^st place and the newest and youngest addition to the HT Wakesurf team, Ford Chupik placed 3rd. At 11 years old and riding for Shred Stixx Ford proudly takes back home to Texas a well deserved victory to the Slayshtank crew.

Shred Stixx /HT Wakesurf traction pad set

Anaheim, Ca. – Hydro-Turf is pleased to announce the release of the 2012 Shred Stixx /HT Wakesurf traction pad set.

Shred Stixx Wakesurf Co has teamed up with HT the leading wakesurf stomp and traction pad developer in the US to bring a new custom stomp pad and deck traction to wakesurfing in 2012. The new Hydro Turf set is a full featured wakesurf specific traction pad compatible with the entireShred Stixx line of boards.

“We took the existing Shred Stixx pad set and made it even better by changing to the proven HT diamond groved pattern, increased the available color options and moved the production back to the USA” Said HT Product Developer &Team Manager Dave Field.

The set is sold separately and features spreadable traction pad components, HT “diamond” grooved pattern and a 30mm kicktail with quality 3-M self-adhesive for easy installation and a strong bond. Available in black, red, blue, white, yellow, and lime green.

Hazen and Walker take podium at NWWSA Wakesurf Open

Anaheim, Ca. – Hydro-Turf congratulates HT Wakesurf team riders on their 1^st and 2^nd place podium spots in Men’s Open Surf at the 2011 NWWSA Wakesurf Open this last weekend at Lake Sammamish, WA. It was an impressive showing considering the water conditions but the HT team handled business as usual and represented their respected board companies (Shred Stixx & Flyboy Wakesurf) and sponsors well. And since were handing out the congats let’s not forget about a great 3^rd place finish from Shred Stixx rider Chris Kinsey who will soon be riding the new Slaysh Tank team traction pad manufactured by Hydro-Turf. And finally HT would like to thank all the participants, volunteers and the hard working folks @ NWWSA for putting on a great event and special shout out to Grace Han Stanton whose assistance made it possible for HT Traction to participate as a sponsor.

Pro Wakesurfer Chase Hazen onboard with Hydro-Turf Traction

Anaheim, Ca. – Hydro-Turf is pleased to announce Chase Hazen as the next member of its newly created Pro Wakesurf team.

“Yeah I’m stoked to be on the HT team. Looking forward to the upcoming season and working together with HT on some new grip for my stick.” said Hazen.

Chase is currently 20 years old, grew up riding the California Delta with Shred Stixx founder Jerry Price and is from Discovery Bay, CA.

Chase’s accomplishments and plans for this 2011 season include a 2^nd place finish at the 2011 Supreme West coast Open and then he’ll be making a quick trip in July to Russia for a contest. After retuning back home to the States Chase will be competing in the NWWSA Wakesurf Open, 2011 Spring Festival and the 2011 Wakesurf Championships to be held September 23-24, at the BlueWater Resort & Casino in Parker, Az.

King of Wake to Air in Nearly 80 Million Homes on VERSUS

Orlando, Fla. - World Sports & Marketing and the NBC Sports Group have
partnered to televise the 2011 King of Wake series this summer on
VERSUS. The King of Wake's new cable television partner, which reaches
nearly 80 million homes, will air all eight stops of the series on
Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. ET. 

Tune in to follow wakeboarding's top pro riders, as they compete in the
sport's most elite competition series for big prize money and to see who
rules the wake. VERSUS will give viewers unprecedented access to the
competition with in-depth profiles of all the top riders.

"With this new partnership, the King of Wake will go from a cable
television network of 30 million homes to nearly 80 million homes on
VERSUS," said Sean Dishman, Director of Sales and Marketing for the King

Hydro-Turf Traction Welcomes Brian Baker to Newly Created Wakesurf Team

Anaheim, Ca. – Hydro-Turf is pleased to announce Brian Baker as the first member of its newly created Wakesurf team.

“I’m really excited to be working with and representing Hydro-Turf developing and riding their new products this upcoming season. I feel being partnered with HT will progress my wakesurfing and establish myself and HT on the Pro Wakesurf scene”, said Baker.

Brian is currently 17 years old and 2010 was his first year competing in wakesurfing after only two years of riding. His accomplishments for 2010 were the following: 1^st place Barrel Boss Men’s Open Surf, 2^nd place Wakesurf Nationals Men’s Open Surf, 3^rd place 2010 World Wakesurf Championship Men’s Armature Surf. This year Brain will start riding at the pro-level at the following events: 2011 Supreme West coast Open, NWWSA Wakesurf Open, 10,000 Lakes Open and the 2011 Wakesurf Championships to be held September 23-24, at the BlueWater Resort & Casino in Parker, Az.

MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour Set to Kick Off 20th Season

Acworth, Ga. - The top professional wakeboarders from throughout the
globe are set to hit the waters of Dallas Landing Park in the greater
Atlanta area of Acworth, Ga., on May 19-21, to kick off the 20th season
of MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink.
All the high-flying, rail-sliding water-sports action will take place
just offshore from the park's beach, on Lake Allatoona, where the
sport's top pros will compete for a cash purse and points toward the
season standings for the coveted Pro Tour title.

Throughout the three-day event, riders will compete in a series of
elimination rounds by performing rail tricks and aerial stunts, while
being pulled on the water by the official Pro Tour towboat, the
MasterCraft X-Star, at a speed of approximately 25mph. Tricks are scored
by a panel of judges, with only the top-scoring athletes advancing in
each round until a winner is determined in the finals, on Saturday, May
21.

Following the final rounds of action on Saturday, the Pro Tour will also
host two exhibition events on site, including the Overton's Double Up
Contest and a Big-Air Kicker Contest. Both events are designed to
feature select athletes performing exciting and innovative new tricks
that aren't normally attempted in a traditional contest setting. 

The 2011 Acworth tour stop, will mark the Pro Tour's fifth appearance at
Dallas Landing Park in the last six years. 

Last year, the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour, presented by Rockstar
Energy Drink made a splash in front of a crowd of more than 8,000
people, as several historical events took place in Acworth. 

Teenage Australian phenom Harley Clifford took first place at Dallas
Landing Park in 2010, after landing a handle pass KGB 540 - the first
ever in a contest. Also former world champion Rusty Malinoski landed one
of the most exciting tricks ever performed in Acworth - a Toeside 1080 -
during the event's Double Up Contest.

The 2011 Pro Tour opener promises to be even better, with addition of
the Pro Women's division. The sport's top female rippers have not
competed at Dallas Landing Park since 2008 and are looking to make an
impact in Acworth during their return.

In addition to all the action on the water; on land, fans will enjoy
plenty of great food; athlete autograph signings; chances to win
freebies; product sampling, and shopping at the most cutting-edge stores
for water-sports equipment including boats, wakeboards, wakeskates,
sunglasses and the latest in wakeboarding and surfing fashions. At the
Pro Tour's entertainment stage, guests can catch athlete interviews,
color commentators and interactive live music.

The first two days of action in Acworth feature qualifying rounds for
riders, and is free to the public to watch. Saturday, May 21 will be a
ticketed event beginning at 10:30 a.m. and ending at 8 p.m. Friday, May
19 will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday's event will run from 8
a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Tickets are available at the gate: $13 (adult); $5 (ages 6-12); free
(ages 5 and under); or $7 (adult) if purchased online.
