Welcome to the WBSD Resource on the developing Santee Lakes Cable Board Park. There has been some recent news with the park finally being approved by the city council, but not a whole lot of other information is making its way public. This page will serve to keep the SD Wakeboarding community updated with developments, so please send in any relevant information or news so this page can be updated accordingly!
Here is some of the information available on the official(?) Santee Lakes Cable Board Park website: www.SanteeLakesCableBoardPark.com. Note: I have not been able to confirm that the website is the actual official one with accurate information, so if anyone can confirm or deny, please let us know!

Update 6/14/2010:
“They have an investor lined up, and are in the final stages, etc. That end looks really good. Due to a bird migration issue, they can not do ANY construction work until Sept 1st. After that, the plan is to get rolling with construction. The goal is to be open and up and running by June or July 2011. Very cool plans for the island, etc. More on that later. Can’t wait for construction to get rolling.”
Update 9/3/2010:
“Checked yesterday, and was told they are just waiting for the final contract to be signed possibly in the next week or so. Also waiting on the final grading permit from the city before they can drain the lake and start construction. Expected very soon. Everything still on track!”
