On May 2, the Liquid Force crew came to the KCW cable park in Kansas City. The LF crew included Don Wallace, Shane Bonifay, Colin Harrington, and Mike Ennen.

Friday was just about riding. The pro’s rode with the locals and gave some pointers. The LF crew then did a demo for the crowd, every one was very excited about it. It was the first time I had saw a "legit" nose press, and who was it by? Take a guess, Shane cough cough.

The next day, Saturday, the team tourney started. 3 wake industry big wigs including Don Wallace and 2 guys from alliance chose teams. To chose teams all the riders threw their boards in a pile and the boards got chose 1 by 1. After the boards were chosen the pro’s were chosen. The industry big wigs each grabbed a different colored monster (each color representing a different pro). All the locals chose a trick they wanted to work on and the pro’s helped them do it.

I happened to be on Mike Ennen’s team. The local’s all rode with their pro’s for about 3 hours, working on their new trick. Attempted tricks ranged from bunny hop 180′s to air tricks. It is cool to have this style clinic/tourney so you literally have conversations with the pro’s not just a little autograph session.

At the end of the day, all the riders threw down their new trick and the pro’s judged it on a 1 to 5 scale. Every one was pretty stocked on the whole deal and the best part was the tourney’s main sponsor, HOOTERS, yep thats right we had hooters girls at the park.

Saturday night the pro’s did another demo and then we all headed to HOOTERS for the after party. It was a great time and thanks to every one that made this happen. it was really fun.
